New dbs, new JavaScript frameworks, new languages

Spring/ExtJS frameworks

What is your favorite unit test framework and why?

JUnit with Spring which worked very well for me in the past for Java

What is your favorite version control system and why?

Prefer subversion out of experience of subversion vs cvs because there is less noise and more flexibility. Looking to explore GitHub in the future.
