Introduction

Hello, I am a Managing/Technical Director at software development company with strong focus on big data and analytics in pharma and healthcare.

What languages/frameworks do you use (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)?

PHP/Zend, Java(for Hadoop mostly), Python, Objective C(iOS), JavaScript(ExtJS/Sencha)

What topics might you be interested in?

Building an outstanding technology team and everything around that

Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?

Pretty good experience in managing remote teams; big data; managing enterprise clients; bootstrapping;

What is your favorite unit test framework and why?

PHPUnit and JUnit are the only ones we used more or less extensively. Each does good enough job for its domain.

What is your favorite version control system and why?

Mercurial for my team(we're using hosted Hg repo - Kiln) - mostly due to simplicity/ease of use in comparison to Git and tight integration with FogBugz. Git for personal projects and GitHub stuff.
