I was at a Django Meetup last night and someone mentioned that CTO School was great.
Mostly Python/Django these days, plus usual web technologies.
Topics on managing scale of both systems and teams.
I do - and I would. Managing teams, high traffic web sites, agile dev processes, AWS and push-button deployments, testing, and others.
python's builtin unit test plus nose. I like nose's plugin system and its test discovery especially with the attributes plugin so that we can run exactly the tests we want for a given purpose.
They're all too complicated for mortals, but I prefer hg over git, then git over svn. Git's advantage over standard hg is its ability to cherry pick - both a blessing and a curse! CHanging git history though just seems wrong.
This was my first time attending this meetup. I appreciated the talks. I'll likely attend more and join the group afterwards for drinks.

It's OK this time, I refunded you - tomorrow morning would be too late ;)
