What is your favorite unit test framework and why?

Python's builtin unittest & Python mock. Simple, xUnit-style testing framework with the addition of the powerful mock library. Useful for both unit and functional testing.

What is your favorite version control system and why?

git. After years of CSV, svn, hg, I enjoy the power of git. Specifically the rebase-workflow allows the crafting of a "story" during development.
