Software entrepreneur and software leader. Founded a web-startup in '99 and sold it after 7 years. VP, Technology Strategy at a large marketing/web firm in DC. I just came to NY and am looking for my next role.
What languages/frameworks do you use (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)?
.NET, PHP, Java and new to Ruby
What topics might you be interested in?
Mobile development platforms, XCode, Appcelerator, RubyMotion, MonoTouch, etc
Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?
Spent time in the healthcare arena. Managed tech staff in multiple offices and through several m&a.
What is your favorite unit test framework and why?
Used mostly NUnit for .net development. Free and decent community support around it.
What is your favorite version control system and why?
SVN. It is simple to use and stable. I have not implemented Git, but am constantly hearing great things.
