Introduction

Co-founder at WunWun -- we're building a network of Helpers to deliver products and perform services, on demand.

What languages/frameworks do you use (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)?

PHP (CodeIgniter), Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Javascript/CoffeeScript, jQuery, Ember.js Also a big fan of Amazon EC2 and related AWS products.

What topics might you be interested in?

- How to make better decisions regarding technology/language/framework choices. - How to manage your developers to be more efficient - Server management, preferably with Chef - Server security - Cloud infrastructure management - Load Balancing Applications and Database stacks, particularly how to keep load-balanced servers in sync with each other

Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?

I have the most experience working with UI, HTML/CSS/JavaScript. I think I speak jQuery better than I do english. I'm also fairly versed with EC2. Next up is PHP (5 years) and CodeIgniter (2+ years). Pretty well versed with CodeIgniter gotchas and its quirks. I'm a bit of a Rails noob, only having used it sparsely in the past year, but quite heavily the past few months. I am definitely willing to answer questions if you have them!

What is your favorite unit test framework and why?

I'm fairly new to unit testing, but I've been using Rspec with tender-loving care the past year.

What is your favorite version control system and why?

Git, for easy branching and merging. Also, having a service like github.com really works wonders. Deployment with Capistrano is also a breeze and SO. DAMN. NICE!
