Introduction
I'm a hacker and entrepreneur working on my latest startup in NYC.
What languages/frameworks do you use (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)?
PHP/Kohana, Erlang, C.
What topics might you be interested in?
Data stores (SQL & NoSQL), performance, scaling, monitoring, AWS & cloud issues, project & team management.
Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?
PHP performance tuning, SQL databases, project management.
What is your favorite unit test framework and why?
PHPUnit is the only framework I've worked with to any significant extent. Lately been playing with Behat (BDD for PHP).
What is your favorite version control system and why?
Git. Once you go distributed, you can't go back. Never tried Mercurial or Bazaar (am I missing anything with them?)
