Lunch Trip to Montserrat

 - Lunch Trip to Montserrat  -

Seeing Montserrat is a must-have-seenfor everyone that's living in Barcelona - and it's a great idea for those who are in town for the Culti Weekend Trip!

After meeting up for coffee at an easy to find venue close to the subway, we'll travel to Montserrat together.

In Montserrat we'll have lunch together first - details around the entire programm will follow closer to date.

- Bad weather? -

Don't worry, when was the last time when it was raining all day in Catalonia? The program will be adapted to the weather, but the destination is fixed: Montserrat Mountains!

 - How to Find Hotelbar Barcelona Catalonia? -

Just go to Subwaystation or railroadstation "Placa Espanya" and after leaving this station, look for or ask for the hotel "Barcelona Catalonia". Which btw is very easy to find after finding Placa Espanya :)

 - Culti Contribution -

A EUR 2,- fee is required for attending to this event. Please be so kind to pay this fee after arrival.

My friend and I went to Monserrat around 10am and it was very enjoyable. We got home around 6pm. The FC Barcelona was a success also, we won! Maybe I will find something else to do with your group before I leave.

yesterday it costed me 19 euro, but I brought lunch! Tmrw it will be around eur 25 each, all costs together... This is cable train plus lunch, plus a walk after dinner, plus seeing the church.... In the last hour we might add a paid facilitee extra.... but think in terms of pocketchange :-)

Hi all, because of the waiting cues in Espana Station, it will be better to meet already at 12:30.... But some people ( Joanna White ) are coming from abroad for this meetup! So: is there anyone that already signed up, who can´t make it already at 12:30? If so, let it be heared :)

Plans have changed. I bought tickets for my friend and I to go to see football Saturday. This is the only comfortable day she can go because she works during the week and it starts at 8pm. I AM SO SORRY. We will be going to Monserrat, but will be leaving earlier in the day. Have fun without me.

Just to get the things clear , Do we meet up in Barcelona or at the ending point wich would be Monserrat ??
Ritz talked about trains that leaves around 9:36 and so on , but on the meetup even the time is set to 13:00 ( 1 PM) .
so I would love to have a clear answer about that

BTW: small details in the plan might still change.... For example the meeting point. This might change to a place closer to Place de Espanya... What's already certain is: we will travel from Place de Espanya by train, and we will go to Montserrat.... please keep the afternoon and the early evening free of other plans, and all will be OK :)

Best route is with Rodalies from Plaza Espanya train station.. TYou can take either R5 or R50 train.. which departs every hour.. eg: 9.36 AM, 10.36 AM, 11.36 AM and so on.. Total Journey time 1 hour.. You can either choose to stop at "Aeri de Montserrat" and walk 10 mins until you reach base of Montserrat or You can stop at train station "Moistrol de Montserrat" and take a cable / funicular sort of train called cremallera outside the station.. it will reach base of Montserrat in 15 mins..
More Info on train lines and timetables .. Check the website:

Hello, this sounds like the perfect trip to join the culti group for the first time. Can you tell me how much the trip will cost? Are we going by bus? Any idea about the returning time? Thank you!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
