- Daytrip to "Wuppertal Schwebahn" and "Düsseldorf Altstad" -

Join Culti Group for another nice and easy going Daytrip! With Coffee inside Eindhoven Railroadstation first - with a VERY nice train ride in Wuppertal later - and with Dinner in Düsseldorf last!

And the best news is: it's for free!

Well... Almost :)

- Costs -

The costs are: a Dutch trainticket from Eindhoven to Venlo. A shared trainticket we can buy for the German railroads at Venlo Station ( should be around 10 each ), a EUR 2,50 fee for the host.... And other than that pay for your own drinks and food.

- Famous Last Words -

See you in Eindhoven :)

I wont be online after 9:30 today anymore - so I also wont see any questions / complaints / comments / etc etc etc.... I will be at the Amsterdam Central Station tmrw at 10:20 AM... In front of the starbucks that is next to Hema.... ( There are 3 starbucks on the amsterdam central station, but only one next to a HEMA... )

After that, I will pop up in Eindhoven at 12:15 PM.... There, after having a cup of coffee, we will all go to Venlo together :)

I have 3 places for people that want discounts for the railroads....

    CU Tmrw :)

Hi all, the details in a nuttshell: The 5 Culti Groups in Nl will all meet in Eindhoven and travel to Venlo together. There, we will connect with the Culti Group NRW. Costs for travveling are limited because we will buy a shared train ticket from the D Bahn Machine in Venlo.

I can take 4 people with me on my discount card to Venlo. With this NRW group we will go to Wuppertal first and to the Dusseldorf altstad later. We will be back in Eindhoven around 12PM. There are trains from Eindhoven to Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam and Utrecht all night, but if you want to be back in The Hague or so around 12PM than its best to leave Germany around 8Pm already..... More details will follow tmrw :)

I dont know. But cars might be even more pricy than public transport these days... Most certainly with all this paid parking in most big cities.... In general I think in Eindhoven people dont have experience with meetups all to much, I think there are only two big groups? Than people might think that what takes place in these groups is normal.... But in fact the diversity on meetup is HUGE, so its best not to expact anything at all :) Other than a fun time of course - thats what we are about :)

About Eindhoven and Meetups there: I already ran into some strange stuff - todays comments - also someone I never met asked me to stay over at my place in Amsterdam some weeks agao, with the The Hague event - a guy that was the first to claim a discount but didnt make any effort to pay the fee and refused to let someone else pay for him - are you hippes or something? :). But the real cause is: lack of experience with the diversity on meetups, and maybe a culture shock here and there... Some expats, also in other cities, never lifed outside their parents house, are used to having servants, and in NL.... The found out that no one is taking orders here :) This is not easy. Its the best example of a culture shock I can come up with....... But there is nothing a nice daytrip cant fix :) famous last words: when I talk about pocketchange, etc etc etc, the point of reference is: expats, long term residents and locals with an international mindset.
