Suggested Donation:

We have a suggested donation of $1/meetup. The $1 we request per member for every event isn't collected for our profit. Since we pay to run this site, the money we collect goes towards the facilitation of this site and the group.

Attendance & RSVP policy:

We have a different organizer for every Meetup event. To contact the organizer of the event you are interested in attending, please look for "Who's Organizing?" at the top of the event page and contact the organizer directly.

Also, please be courteous to your organizers and fellow Meetup members.  Most Meetup members RSVP in a timely and accurate manner. But some members can be lax in changing their RSVP when something comes up, or worse, not even show up when they said they would. That's unfair to the Organizer, to members who could have attended in their place, and to members who expected a greater turnout. If you know in advance that your plans have changed and you cannot attend an event for which you have RSVP'd "Yes," please change your RSVP accordingly as soon as possible. 

We want this to be a fun group for you and our members. Things change, things come up, life happens.  But please let us know when you do plan on attending, and notify us if those plans change and you can't make it.

Failure to follow these simple and considerate guidelines may result in you being barred from some events, or removal from the group in the case of repeated violations.  

If for some reason you wish you attend an event but don't care if you connect with our group, please do so on your own and do not RSVP through this Meetup site. 

Advertisements:

Unfortunately, we do not allow soliciting on our site but if there's a particular event that's of interest to the group and if there's information about it that you'd like to share, please send us the details of the event and we'll decide if it should be posted on the site or not.

Since this is a social group, can I use the events as a way to just meet people?

Our events are not intended to be a base for dating. Yes, we are a social group, but we are a group aimed at offering comfortable cultural and entertaining experiences so that you as a member may benefit from it. Of course you're welcome to contact members outside of the events, provided there's mutual consent.  However, reports of sexual harassment will be taken seriously, and members who act inappropriately may be removed from the group.
