"All That Skate 2014!! Top figure skater Kim Yuna is finally bidding everyone farewell in the All That Skate 2014 ice show. With The poster saying “Adios, Gracias” translated to “Goodbye, Thank You,” what else would you think? It’s no secret to every Kim Yuna (and figure skating) fan that she is planning to retire after the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and I guess, this final gala show is her formal way of saying goodbye to the world of competitive figure skating.
According the Arirang News, the ice show will be based on the Italian opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, a story about how a harsh Princess learns about love from a prince who refuses to name himself. It will be held from May 4-6, 2014 at the installed rink in the Olympics Gymnastics Stadium, Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Joining her in the gala show are fellow Korean skaters Park Soyoun, Kim Haejin and Kim Jinseo, and Sochi Olympic medalists Dennis Ten (bronze – men’s figure skating), Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov (gold-pairs figure skating), and Aliona Savchenko with Robin Szolkowy (bronze-pairs figure skating).
