Chinese Workshop - Apr. 22: "Encore Series 2" - Chinese Drinking Culture

Back by popular demand, we are revisiting some of our most popular lessons! If you have missed them the first time around, here's your chance - and maybe the last one - to catch them! Kat is leaving for China in May, and may stay there for up to a year. So ask all your Mandarin questions before she goes!

From 'Ganbei' to 'Suiyi', Chinese drink to socialize, do business, celebrate, ... and testing their company? Drinking itself may not be all that different around the globe, but we certainly say different things when drinking or drunk!

If you don't drink, you may still want to know about it, just so you don't feel left out. Join us and explore the intriguing world of 'the thing in the cup'. We will also learn how to say, "I can't really drink." "Two is my maximum." "He's a bad drunk." as well as names for various alcoholic beverages.

So what is 'Zuiwong zhi yi bu zai jiu'? Come and find out!
