Visit the MFA

Let's join another meetup group at the MFA and take in some of the exhibits. There is ample parking (for a fee) and also it is on the Green Line for the T. Entry costs $25 although you may be able to get in through your library's MFA card. We will take in the exhibits and hopefully see the Sargent watercolors. See http://www.mfa.org/ for more information. We will meet in the lobby and I will send out my cell phone number to those registered the night before with a face picture. This event is very child friendly.

Yes, the wait was more than reasonable. I found it quite interesting to learn of Sargent's techniques in producing some beautiful works.

the wait was not so bad, only about 10 minutes. I had a great time, need to come back to see the rest of it. Thanks, everybody.

I do have a question . . . Are you planning to wait in line for the Sargent watercolors or are you all simply planning to take in the exhibits? I would love to see the Sargent but I have to leave early enough to get to Symphony Hall for the 3:00 performance by Joshua Bell. Any information that you can share would be greatly appreciated.

And thank you to Ange and all for organizing this!

We can discuss this as a group and possibly split into a smaller group if people want to do different things, I am open to whatever the group decides

Wonderful gift to the city of Boston , the mfa. Just went. The Sargent exhibit line was at least 100+ people long all day, and apparently has been every weekend. Many other treasures however. Have fun!

Just a note....culture vultures, maybe we should get there a bit earlier than 12.30, if.the lines are so long??
