annual YUM event: The Taste of Somerville

he Welcome Project's annual YUM event at Center for Arts at the Armory on April 10, 2014 features the cuisine of 9 immigrant-run Somerville restaurants. Enjoy tastes from Turkey, Italy, India, Mexico, Nepal, the Mediterranean, Ethiopia, and Portugal. All YUM restaurants participate in the City's Shape Up Approved -- Eat Well program.

This year's event also features Live music by Son Del Sol A silent auction The 2nd annual Intercultural City Award to Regina Bertholdo, director of the Somerville Public Schools' Parent Information Center and co-founder of the Brazilian Women's Group.       there's parking behind the armory. If that's full, you can park along most of Highland Ave - there's usually spaces there, you may have to park a bit away from the armory, but there are always spaces.
