What is your favorite physical activity at this time in your life?

I love to kayak whenever possible! I love the outdoors and hike or walk moderately due to an injured knee and arthritis. I swim laps regularly because it feels soooo good.

Name 3 things that you WILL do once you have lost a significant amount of weight that you are unable to do at this time in your life

Cross my legs in a skirt! Dance for hours Ride my bike without huffing and puffing

How long have you struggled with your weight?

Most of my adult life. I'm 47- I have lost tons of weight over the years and know how to do it! I realize that the circle of support must be ongoing. My goal is to surround myself with a team of like minded individuals so that this is not just a "diet" but a life!

What do you expect from this group?

I expect to find encouragement and to give encouragement. I expect to develop friendships through the many different activities that will be held throughout the week.I expect to learn from others. I expect success in my 100 pound weight loss journey! I expect nothing less!


Hello Chiks! I'm so excited about this time in my life! I'm 47 years old. I have 4 kids ranging from 28 down to 13 and an 11 year old grandson!I stay very busy managing my brother's Italian Restaurant near Wake Forest. I am thrilled to be a part!

I am amazed at the overwhelming support for this community. It really does take a village when we set out to change our lives! So thankful for this group. We're not just talking about it, we're doing something about it. Sick and tired of being sick and tired! It's very supportive to be in it with others who have a significant amount of weight to lose!
