Storytelling for Business Success: Increase Connection, Attraction & Buy-in

Join us for a lively, dynamic session focused on business storytelling for bringing your business communication to life and developing a "resonance" with your target audience. In this highly experiential session, you will have an opportunity to practice telling your business story in a fun, safe space with other business owners. You'll learn some storytelling approaches to start you (1) thinking about your business in a new way, and (2) talking about it in a way that engages your audience (client, colleague, vendor, team, investor, participant, etc) at a genuine, meaningful, emotional level to increase connection, attraction, enthusiasm and buy-in...all while getting to know each other's business better!

Presenter Michelle James, CEO of The Center for Creative Emergence, is a business creativity consultant, coach and facilitator who has been using applied storytelling, applied improvisation, arts-based training, and other creativity practices and processes as the basis for her work with thousands of people - entrepreneurs, leaders, and large organizations - since starting her business 17 years ago. She founded the Capitol Creativity Network in Washington, DC, created DC's first Creativity in Business Conferences, and is currently writing a business creativity book, Pattern Breaks: A Facilitator's Guide for Cultivating Creativity. Michelle moved to Charlottesville last August from Northern, VA and thrilled to live in this beautiful city! Learn more on her website at

I experienced Michelle's great leadership with this subject not too long ago. It was thought provoking, creative, and fun.
