For August's CWDNUG meetup, Neil Foster from Microsoft will be giving us a look at the Microsoft High Performance Computing roadmap:
- The first release
- Why Microsoft developed a HPC solution and the issues they are addressing
- The current release (with a discussion on performance),
- A preview of the potential features of the next release, which will be available next month
Steve Harris from Infusion will then show us how HPC can be used to apply grid computing to familiar things such as excel spreadsheets
We've had to move this meetup to wednesday the 18th of august (the grid environment used for the demo has become unavailable), hopefully this means more of you can make it!
