Full Moon Ride - 5 Bridges and a Ferry

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THIS EVENING'S RIDE!!

We will be catching a ferry - please bring $5.60 cash with you!

In place of the full 7 bridges loop, we are doing 5 bridges then catching a ferry from Woolwich to Circular Quay. Majority of ride is on cycleways or shared cycle paths.

Depending on weather and timing, we'll then either pedal across the Harbour Bridge for picnic in Kirribilli (close to Milson Point train station) OR we'll stop at a bottle shop in the city and picnic on Observatory Hill (close to Wynyard train station).

A few small hills along the way, but plenty of regroups so no-one gets left behind. Total distance will be 18-22km, depending on where we finish the ride.

NOTE:  We'll be leaving Town Hall steps at 7.10PM SHARP - so please get there by 7pm for introductions and quick briefing before we head off.

Give Peter a call on[masked] if you have any questions.

See you then!

    @tony: His kidding what? :P

    Seriously, though, you're going to let a light drizzle stop you from hopping on your bike? ;)

    Hey Peter and Lil, thanks for replying promptly. Will keep a keen eye on any updates...yes perhaps safest to ride at night when more comfortable.

    Hi Hugh - we're currently planning the route for the ride, so will have a better idea in a few days. Once we've worked out the route, details will be posted on the site.

    hugh. I have no idea how much of the route will be on paths etc. even if a route is planned it is liable to change. I suggest that if you don't feel confident riding around traffic at night that you skip this ride. I will be planning some rides in the future that will be totally on bike paths. I hope this answers your questions.

    G'day Pete. Have blown my credit on mobile so thought i'd post instead....I'm new to bike riding, and absolutely love it. I do have concerns however about riding in busy areas, and the city sounds like the busiest area you could ride in. How much of the route will be cycling paths and how much is shared road with cars etc?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
