All Doxies Aboard!

ALL DOXIES ABOARD!!! This is one of my favorite meetups.  Everyone enjoys seeing our doxies on the steam train and our doxies love the attention. Plus they love sitting on our laps while they get to see a beautiful view. Let's take our Doxies on a Steam Train Ride! The Steam Trains at Tilden Park are dog friendly. Tickets are $2.00 per person. We are allowed to have our doxies on our lap during the train ride. After the Train ride we will enjoy a picnic.  There is also a trail for those of you who are interested and want to take a hike.  Bring a towel, blanket or chair to sit on in case all the benches are taken.

Meet by the entrance to the Steam Trains. We will wait for 10 minutes for everyone to arrive.  Let's all wait for everyone so we can all go on as a group and also have our group photo taken.

If your dog is scared of riding on the train don't let that stop you from coming to this. Enjoy a nice picnic with us after our train ride. If you decide to take a walk there is a beautiful view of the bay area at the top of the hill if you decide to go for a walk.

Picture is from the top over looking the bay. Beautiful!!

Directions to the Park:

The park is located in the Berkeley hills just north of Highway 24--take the Fish Ranch Road exit east of the Caldecott Tunnel, drive uphill, and turn right at Grizzly Peak Blvd. From Grizzly Peak, The Lomas Cantadas entrance you will see the sign for the Steam Trains and parking lot.

There is two parking lots for parking one in the front and then rear parking.

Hope to see you and your Doxie there!

Here is a list of items that Southern and Northern California Dachshund Relief needs right now. Please feel free to bring them to the next meetup or any other time you attend. Between my parents and our family we travel to So Cal so much that this will be given to them.

List of items

1. small and medium collars and leashes (please not from 99 cent store) black leashes go with everything.

2. Old bath size towels

a donation is always welcome too. Go to their website to make a direct deposit online. SCDR also covers Nor Cal so you would be helping dogs in this area too. =)

There will be other dachshund rescues we will also help through out the year. I just thought I would start with the one because I used to foster for them and plan on doing it again as soon as we get our doxie rescue.

My parents took me to Germany so that I can learn how to bark in German. I've gotten quite good and now I say "wau, wau" all the time. I'll tell you all about my trip when we get back in summer.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
