Love to Snuggle? I’m Your Dog!
If the thought of a furry, cuddly, love sponge makes you smile, then you should meet Max!

This eight year-old dachshund mix has been with Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization (H.A.L.O.), a Best Friends No More Homeless Pets Network partner in Antioch, California, for about a year. Before that, he lived with a nice lady for a few years who found him as a stray. But when she lost her home, she had to give up Max.

Max is great on leash, has gotten along with absolutely everyone’s he’s met so far – both four-legged and two – and, as you can see, he’s ridiculously cute. His favorite place is on your lap. He can get a wee bit jealous if you’re loving on another pet, and he will let you know by barking until you share the love with him.

He’s been living with a foster family through H.A.L.O. with many other dogs—sometimes as many as 20. The family has noticed some marking behavior, but Max is housetrained. Most likely, he may need to be reminded for a couple of days that he doesn’t have to stake his claim in his new home.

Max is full of life and spunk and would love to live out the rest of his life being your sidekick. If you would like to meet Max, please contact Evie at [address removed] or by phone at [masked] or [masked].

Even if you can’t adopt, you can still help by sharing his cute face on social media or posting his flyer. Not only could you help Max, but you’ll be reminding people of all the homeless pets looking for homes.

Thank you for all that you do for pets in need. Best Friends Animal Society, No More Homeless Pets Network partners, and you … Together we can Save Them AllTM.
