My doxie, Lexie, had disc surgery at UC Davis last March. The surgeons (Drs. Boudreaux and Vernau) were wonderful and Lexie had a slow, but progressive recovery in part due to her treatment at the Canine Rehabilitation Center in Walnut Creek [masked]
. Dr. Erin Troy saw Lexie and prescribed a program of acupuncture, underwater treadmill treatment and cold laser therapy and I am happy to report that Lexie has recovered all of her ability to walk, run, play with her brother Siggy and to chase squirrels with delight! It is amazing to me that a dog who was totally paralyzed in her hind quarters could regain her physical abilities to be a fully-functioning, fun-loving pup again. It is largely due to the care she received both at Davis and the Canine Rehabilitation Center in Walnut Creek. I would highly recommend both veterinary practices. Best of luck to you and Peabody!

My Peabody ended up a the UC Davis doggy ER (great place, btw), and long-story short, had to have disk surgery yesterday. I'm trying to keep my mind on how best to help her heal and stay comfortable. Thank goodness for UC Davis, and for Dodger's List....but I need some help from my local doxie pals....
Does anyone know where we can get Cold Laser Therapy treatments, in the Fairfield or SF areas?
Thanks for any info!!
