Do doxies get sleep apnea?

Hi All,

Dog Owner Friends: have you heard of a dog developing Sleep Apnea? Fritz has started snoring a lot more audibly and vehemently lately. Then he will have a big fit of snoring and go silent. Silent as in no breathing for moments, then back to heavy breathing or snoring. Just now his snoring reached a level that I would have considered choking until it subsided (seconds) and now he's totally fine and completely silent. All this started about a month or so ago. Allergies? But that doesn't explain the lapse in breathing. Help.

Below is the link to others posts that might be related.

Warmest Regards,

Melissa
