We also dont like to kennel our boys...but Little Paws Boarding, off Rich Rd is fabulous. She doesnt take dogs over 30 lbs so she specializes in the needs of small dogs. Would reccommend her to all others as well.

Hi Katy,

Yes, I do take the girls to Northwind Kennels [masked]) - They allow small dogs to stay in the "day care" area instead of being put into a cement floor "cell" although they are assigned a type of large "pen" - They both stay in the same pen and sleep together and Northwind provides plenty of blankets and toys for them - I take food for them but the kennel will provide food if a client wishes - There is a lot of activity in the day care - The dogs can all see each other and see the staff, and they get lots of out door play time which is included in that area - I don't think Chloe got her cold from Northwind but instead from a Pomeranian at the Olympia off-leash park when we went the day after coming home from Northwind - That dog was sneezing when we were there and Chloe, being as friendly as she is, ran right up and sniffed that dog in the nose (and butt of course) so I really don't think that the cold came from the kennel so I'm happy to recommend Northwind - I don't like leaving the girls at any kennel, but Northwind is very accommodating to dachshunds since the owner has two (maybe three?) of her own and she just loves doxies - They have a great website www.northwindkennels

Sorry to miss you all on Saturday -

Bye and a Woof, woof,

Judy, Chloe, and Gracie
