This is a meet up for those that are 50 - 100% independent in his/her marketing service offerings. Contractors, freelancers, small agencies, and start-ups that offer online marketing services (SEO, SEM, PR, Content, Social) are all welcome.
I will relinquish my need to have an extremely planned program and consider myself only a facilitator and spectator of this meeting. My goal with this group is for everyone to share, motivate, and learn. Here are some topics I think most of the group would be interested in, however I'm open to suggestions:
• Best lead generation channels for yourself and your industry-specific clients
• Business and pricing models for specific services you offer or have considered
• Excellent people resources that you use and are worth sharing
• What's working to get traffic for you and your clients right now
• Steps you are taking to prepare for the landscape change of Internet Marketing (SEO getting harder, marketing apps)
These aren't the questions that I have the answers to and will be "teaching" - these are what I'd like for us to learn from each other in order to get a new perspective. Some may feel these are "trade secrets". That's understandable. For me, I feel like knowing and acting on information are two different things. Information is agnostic.
Many have a scarcity mind. As for me, I live in a world of abundance of ideas and business that will never run dry, and has room for all of us. I plan on being extremely transparent with my successes and failures, just like I have for years mentoring dozens of others in the ways of Internet Marketing. If you are like-minded in this regard, please join us.
As an industry we face a lot of information overload, as well as marketing gurus capitalizing off of parroting and repeating others without any evidence what they are saying works, or has worked for their clients. If you're tired of this too, please join us.
I only ask that people share not what he/she has heard or read works, but what is working now and has worked not that long ago for you and your clients personally.
We'll be meeting at the Common Desk, which is a cool co-working space in Deep Ellum (home of Culture Map, Uber, ILiveInDallas.com). There will be beer and socializing, so you can consider this sort of a "think and drink".
Consider this sort of an open group. At one point (a few months from now) it will become a closed group for a handful of committed people that have showed up and want to see their marketing business skyrocket over the next year. Don't be left out and regret not going when it's too late.
Come to the door and ring the door bell. Call or text me if you have problems. [masked]
