Dominating Your Local Competitors How Residents of DFW Find Local Business

  • Sep 9, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

* Please note Septembers' Meetup will be on a Monday instead of our normal Tuesday, this will only be for September.  We will also be joining with our Venue Sponsor Connective Hub this month for a bonus presentation on Hootsuite Tips, using search features.  Make sure you arrive by 6:30 PM for this added presentation.  See Agenda time-frames below.

Mark your calendars, Monday, September 9th, 2013 the Dallas Interactive Marketing & Internet SEO/SEM Meetup will be having their September Meetup!

Join us and our guest speaker Joe Youngblood for an informative presentation entitled "Dominating Your Local Competitors How Residents of DFW Find Local Business".

We welcome back Joe Youngblood to our Meetup who presented last October to our group on Alternative Traffic Sources

Joe's September presentation will be a great stepping stone from our August presentation with Greg Gifford on "How to be a Local Search Superhero".  If your looking to increase web traffic from local search and understand the process behind it you do not want to miss this meetup!

A recent survey was conducted with local DFW residents to see just how they sought out, discovered, and interacted with local businesses.  The results of the study are astounding and will help power your local marketing efforts. Joe will review the survey data and what it means as well as tactics to implement to take advantage of the data to help you dominate your competition.

Topics that will be covered in the presentation

 - Find out how frequently residents of the metro-plex actively search and seek out a new local business

- What local residents are looking for in a local business website

- What social networks are the most important for DFW residents

- How web design aesthetics impacts local business

- The benefits of 'check-in' messaging

The event cost will be $5 per person and we accept cash and credit cards.
Pizza and Soda/Water will be served prior to the Meeting.  Come early and eat some food and Network!

We are excited to be having our Meetup at Connective Hub.  Connective Hub is a community that combines the diversity of a collaborative working space, the structure and capabilities of a successful company, the discipline of a business incubator, the atmosphere of a hip coffee shop, the flexibility of a nationwide executive office and the power of an entrepreneurial community. Well, that defines the Connective hub in a nutshell.

Agenda:

6:00 - 6:30 PM Networking Time

6:30 - 7:00 PM Hootsuite Tips Presentation

7:00 - 8:00 PM Main Presentation & Q&A with Joe Youngblood

8:00 - 9:00 PM More Networking Time

You might find the self-assessment spreadsheets created by Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Cousin to accompany their book, "Search Engine Optimization (SEO): An Hour a Day, 3rd Edition" to be useful.
