I had the pleasure of recording a video interview of Melissa Cowser after last month's presentation and included it in my blog: Facebook's Impact a Decade Later http://bit.ly/1iolyPn

Because of Melissa Cowser's presentation I finally decided to kick it into high gear with social media. Now, my Hootsuite tabs are all tricked out, and in the past week I'm seeing all my metrics go up across the board. With the New Year, this was a very timely topic. Thank you Melissa.

Awesome. Hootsuite is time saving as an electric screwdriver.

Google+ didn't get much love during Melissa's session last Tuesday evening. This article from HubSpot talks about why marketers need to at least try Google+ in 2014:

Thing is if you are using hootsuite it is just another tab no big deal.

      January 17, 2014

    • Melissa C.

Yes, I agree marketers should definitely try it. I also agree it is a great tool for some businesses. My struggle is small business owners who already do not have enough time to manage even one or two social media sites. :) All in time…

Really enjoyed seeing everyone and hearing Melissa's take on social media in 2014.

    • John P.

Agreed. I like how she talked about the strengths of each social media site. What they are good for. That takes a while to figure out for most folks.

Great group (engaging yet approachable); quality and relevant content; all levels of expertise - a cumulative wealth of information and a willingness to share. Amazing and at such a bargain! So glad I attended; plans to return. (The location was comfortable also; however the password for the wifi didn't work for my device.)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
