ECO DAY @ SPRING CREEK (Naaman Trails)
POT LUCK LUNCH

Please join us for a beautiful day of being earth friendly by helping pick up trash and nurturing the trails back to their original condition after this long winter. Keeping Spring Creek clean is an ongoing need, particularly after each storm. Your help is greatly appreciated. This particular section of the trail is little visited and very enchanting! We hope you will enjoy it for a change of pace.

WHAT: This is a trash pickup and trail cleaning event with other casual activities thrown in such as a potluck picnic by the water's edge! We will be removing Privit, an invasive species, so please feel free to bring garden tools. For full details, please contact the hike leaders by phone. Charles [masked] or DD [masked]

BRING: Food, tools, velcro hiking sandals for water a must, trail clothes, swim clothes (in case you need to cool off from all your hard work!) If you have a garden hoe or gloves, please bring those.

POTLUCK: Please state in your comments what food or dish you are bringing so that everyone can plan their own contribution. Don't forget beverages (no glass please.) Your organizer will bring plenty of water and tea to share. "I would love it if everyone would join me after a hard days work. Our potlucks have been very successful in the past and I will be bringing my own favorite dish to contribute. I have picked out the perfect spot on the trail to take a break and commune with nature. I look forward to seeing all my friehnds!"~Charlie

WHERE & WHAT: While your organizers will be on the trails most of the day, and everyone is welcome to join us, the majority of people will meet at 11a at the Sonic. We will take breaks for lunch and dinner.

HIKING

Trails are marked with ribbon for those who simply want to take a walk in the woods and enjoy the natural beauty of this nature area.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

This is everyone's opportunity to get away from the Sunday night TV, and instead watch the colors of April twilight. This will put you in a far better frame of mind for the upcoming week than the Life Zapping electronics we are so accustomed to. ~Charlie

Extremely glad to have spent this Sunday working on the trails with others who are so passionate of the outdoors. I enjoyed the fellowship and the wonderful potluck. I'm looking forward to the next clean up/blazing new trails event!
