    Hello everyone!

    This is my favorite season. Forecast for the weekends shows low 60's.  Let's get out and enjoy this beautiful fall weather. I'd like to do a 5 miles hike, app. 2.5 hours.

  • At an elevation of 755 feet, Cedar Ridge Preserve is a slice of the hill country just 20 minutes outside Dallas. Preserve is not-for-profit natural habitat of 633 acres featuring 10 miles of hiking trails, a native plant nursery, butterfly gardens, and picnic areas.

    This is a recreational hike, and dogs and children are always welcome. But please note, the trails could be difficult for smaller ones (dogs and children), as there is a lot of up and down and some steep climbs. It is also required that dogs be on a leash while in the preserve. Trails are rocky and uneven in places, as well as steep, so please wear correct footwear.
