Python Class

Learn how to work with Pythons and Boa Constrictors!
We will also look at the programming language Python.
"For those of you who don't know, Python is a general-purpose, high-level programming language that will run on Linux, Windows, Mac, and probably an abacus. Python is relatively easy to learn because the design philosophy emphasizes code readability and natural syntax. Python can be used for scripting or writing full applications, web-apps, etc. It's a fantastic language and is used by many organizations such as NASA, Google, and Dropbox.

What I'd like to do is go ahead and start a crash course on Python fundamentals aimed at people who haven't really programmed at all and get up through the basics in a month or two, probably through a weekly meeting. Each meeting would have a precise agenda so interested people with some experience could easily decide when to start coming if they didn't want to start on the ground level. " - Instructor Daniel H.

Can you guys post the agenda/schedule here in the files section at some point? Preferably as a text file if possible or a PDF or anything that does not require one to pay Microsoft off to open the file?

Actually, you don't have to be signed into Google in order to access the Google doc, or to download the files. The presentations can be downloaded as a PDF.

I'm not a member of Dallas Makerspace yet...but I was wondering if my boyfriend and I could come check out this Python class and the group before deciding if we should join. He writes in Python for 3D animation applications, and I want to see the space and meet like-minded folks

You don't need to be a makerspace member to attend classes.

Mikaila- Hope to see you there on Sunday. You'll probably find the Python meeting to be pretty rudimentary, we're just delving into the basics. However, it should be a great opportunity to check out the Makerspace. I think you'll both love it!
