Embedded Workshop - Microcontrollers

Learn to use microcontrollers to control real projects. Come prepared to build. Everyone participates. Check each month's schedule for the night's project and necessary supplies.

August session: Embedded Workshop will show how to control small motors or other loads using an Arduino.  You need to bring

+ your Arduino

+ breadboard

+ 12V power supply for the motor.  If your motor or load is 12V, you can bring it.  We have ten 12V motors plus NPN transistors, resistors, and hookup wire to complete the basic circuit.

Do we have a topic/goal set for the next meetup? I recall we chatted about a few ideas but don't recall if we decided anything....

I'm really interested in these microcontroller workshops, but I haven't taken any yet and I wouldn't have time to gather up these materials today to participate in tonight's meetup. Are the materials that you posted above going to be used in the next upcoming meetups (such as 9/4)? And where could I get these from? Radio Shack? Thanks!
