Widely varied experience levels, discussion on lots of topics, and a great social outing afterwards. A+ in my book

The group is very good and seemed experienced in PHP - what I was hoping for. I am looking forward to see all again soon. Enjoyed our time there last night!

If you want to just share idea's and meet some great people, this is a great PHP group to do just that.

Impressive! Obviously, a lot of Internet gurus there. Again, this may be just the subjectivity of a beginner ? ) And ?Thanks again!

I thought it was great to meet people with so many different backgrounds getting together to share and learn from each other. I can't wait until the next one!

The group was excellent...The only suggestion I have is that as the group grows, to periodically do either a beginning-ground breaking meeting, say every two months..just to help new people ramp up, or a list of reccommended books that have been helpful.. Also, many people had laptops...a hands on session would be cool where files were distributed prior to the meeting with either an assignment or problem to solve, or instructions to bringa comuter and work through exercises during the meeting. People without laptops could share with those who do.

The members of the group are all very good at participating and helping each other out. It is nice talking to people with all kinds of coding backgrounds and levels of expertise.

  •  Seems like a great group of people, all of whom are passionate about something to do with the LAMP platform... I just think we need focus.

Shane Allen on Feb 9, 2005.

  •  What is this? The sub groups that didn't meet?

    Paul on Mar 11, 2005.

  •  I got the feeling the group is starting to disintegrate. The topic that was posted in Meetup was from the previous month when the invites went out, so if someone was expecting Dante's presentation that didn't happen. The meeting was very relaxed, and for those that know each other it was like visiting with friends -- but I am concerned we will never see the 30 plus meeting attendance we used to have without a bit more structure.

Alex Nestor on Aug 9, 2006.

  •  Very good group.

Michael Clark on Jan 26, 2005.

  •  Each meeting gets better, will tell more people about it.

Sara Reyes on Jan 11, 2005.

  •  The people which I met that are in the group certainly have the qualifications and experience to promote the use of PHP and/or MySQL. As we grow we might want to consider a beginner level subgroup or meeting for those who might be easily overwhelmed.

Joe Cook on Dec 8, 2004.

  •  We need more participation! This group has some great topics scheduled but to be viable we need to get larger attendance.
