“ From what I could tell, other than 2 people who dominated the conversation, the experience was really good. The active members truely cared and wanted to be of help. The open source project is a great idea, keeping the end goal attainable is a must, many people (some experienced) probably don't know how to manage a project using subversion. (just a guess) even though they are experinced PHP programmers. Getting all members to do something will be the key. Just letting the experienced programmers do everything will not help the newbies learn (like me) maybe the newbie's who say they want to learn should do 90% of the programming and the experienced programmers help/instruct. Instucting newbies on how to use coda, eclipse or what ever editor/tools to manage a project would be a learning for a few people. IT will allso show which newbies really want to learn and put in the time to do so. lots of people say they want to learn this will show it. ”
