This month we're having one of our own members talk more security - Brett Fountain's "Your Rosy Web App via Evil-Colored Glasses":
In this talk, we will go over some of the common ways that an attacker would approach your web app, and ways that you can harden it. There is no such thing as being 100% secure, and yet certain dev choices can be significant in terms of making an attacker's life easier or harder.
After we look at some of the bad things that you may or may not have known could happen, we will jump right into powerful defensive measures and then check out some helpful tools that you may want to incorporate into your secure software development lifecycle.
He'll talk about things like XSS, session hijacking, packet injection and things that developers just forget to do when writing their application.
Come join us on Tuesday the 14th for a great talk and to commune with fellow developers!
Who: Brett Fountain
When: Tuesday, January 14th @ 7pm
