Probably the best PHP graphing I've used is JpGraph -> http://www.aditus.nu/...­

You can tear into this code very easily and learn a ton... Most any type of graph you needs is there so have fun...

You can also use "Chart" to display Data in the form of Bar Chart or Pie Chart (free tool).

For lower level you can also use GD directly

I haven't used jpgraph in a while so I can't remember the API, but if you want to create a graphic that isn't a graph than gd maybe better and is free. jpgraph is great for graphs though.
