Meet Jim Davis and the Austin Dance community at the new Mavericks Dance Hall for some Sunday afternoon dance fun in air-conditioned comfort!

Look for Jim Davis at the DJ's station when he is not on the dance floor.

  • No smoking inside. Smoking allowed on the patio.
  • Free admission.
  • Country Western and West Coast Swing dancing.
  • Free 30 minute West Coast Swing lesson with John Quarto-vonTivador at 5:30PM on 1st Sunday of every month.
  • Free 30 minute CW or WCS dance lesson with Sherry Reynolds at 5:30pm on all Sundays except 1st Sunday! Sherry owns Austin UpTown Dance studio, and is a both an award winning dance competitor, and a nationally recognized judge for both country and ballroom dance.
  • Other groups planning to attend Sunday dancing at Mavericks include: Heart of Texas Whip Dance Club; Rhythmic Motion Dance Studio; Austin UpTown Dance, Riverbend Wings, and Sun City.

FREE 30 minute dance lesson by Sherry Reynolds, owner of Austin UpTown Dance Studio at 5:30PM on all Sundays except 1st Sunday, and Oct. 21st. This will be quality instruction by a nationally ranked competitive dancer and dance judge, and long time friend of mine. It won't cost you a penny, and lessons from someone like her go for $70 - $100 an hour.
