Great to be in The States! I'm loving it. And it feels so good to be offering what I love best, the 5Rhythms: I love witnessing others' movement and it's great that the deeper we go as a group the more space there is for Newcomers to the practice.
I'd been doing a lot of inner work for about 6 months and was on a Contact Improvisation workshop when someone at lunch said how great the 5Rhythms was and that it was 'all about the emotions'. I thought 'this sounds scarey but I ought to try it'.
Dancing since September 1996. Teaching since 2000. Moved to The States in 2008 and to Baltimore in 2012.
Dancing the 5Rhythms has had a major effect on my life. Dancing twice a week back in London helped keep me fit of course, but it was such a relief to just be however I was feeling and to be free to grow at my own pace. It's a great way to move, but it's a lot more than just dance: I can't imagine my marriage without the experience of 5Rhythms. Why come? -Because you can't talk about it: you can only experience it. See you you on the dance floor
Hi, Richard, Haven't been able to join you on the dance floor lately, but am planning to attend in Princeton this Sunday. Could you please send me the time/place? Also, I have a friend who is very interested, but can't make it until September. Thanks very much. Hope you are well. Warmly, Penny Parkin
Greetings Richard! Looking forward to the dance! See you soon!!!
Richard, thanks again for the great class last night in Cherry Hill. I am still riding that delicious 5Rhythms high! Just out of curiosity, what was that awesome staccato song you played last night, the one that sent me into giggles? I need to add that to my personal playlist!
