St. Patrick's Day Dance - 50's & 60's Green Bash - Fabulous with The Fabulettes

Come out and join us for a fun night of swing dancing to a live band. We had the largest meetup and had such a blast last time we were here! This evening is their St. Patrick's Day Green Bash Dance featuring the sounds of the 50's and 60's starring The Fabulettes.

What is better than a St. Patty's Day Dance? Answer: A 50's 60's St. Patty's Day Dance! Well All Right - here come those 50's 60's Hons that always rock your Baltimore's best dance club. All you need to do is wear some green and the Fabulettes will rock you back to the 50's tonight! "Kookie lend me your comb" I'll be greasing for this great dance! Ladies, if you want to know when to wear that poodle skirt you found, now would be a great time. We're all getting lost in the 50's tonight. Join us for the Fabulettes one of the best girl 50's 60's groups on the East Coast!

The Fabulettes rekindle the great "Girl Group Sound" of the 1960s, with enticing harmonies and a piquant 1990s twist. They take you to a time of bouffants and beehives, taffeta and sequins, the Watusi, Swim and Pony. Fronted by Diana Quinn, Lisa Mathews and Jane Quinn Brack, The Fabulettes revitalize classics by such groups as the Chiffons, the Shirelles, Martha and the Vandellas and the Marvelettes. The Fabulettes recreate that fun and frantic era of rock history when women undeniably ruled the airwaves. Their sense of humor, modern sensibility, enveloping harmonies and an uncompromisingly authentic wardrobe bring a spirited approach to timeless songs such as Leader of the Pack, Da Doo Ron Ron and Chain of Fools. Their repertoire encompasses all the emotions of the girl group era, from the pure and happy Chapel of Love to the plaintive Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, the defiant My Boyfriend's Back and the exuberant R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

I had an excellent time and I definitely plan to go again. I had never learned how to swing dance before so I was a little nervous that the other people who were dancing might not be patient with beginners. Fortunately, everybody was very patient so I learned a lot and had a great time.
