This is a great dance to attend if you are new to contra!!! We will have an hour-long contra dance workshop from 7:30 to 8:30. Bob O'Brien, our caller, will take us through the various contra dance moves, allowing us to improve our skills and coordination with partners and with the square. If you think you have nothing to learn, you can come at 8:30 for regular dancing; but I bet there is something we all can learn from Bob. Inexperienced dancers are especially urged to come and take advantage of this -- you will surely enjoy dancing more after it.
Our October dance will feature a new local band "Local Honey" for music. This really involves additions to Mary Kay and Tom AuFrance, who played our June dance. Mary Kay and Tom have brought a couple more musicians into their group, and we can look forward to some lively music.
Admission is $10 at the door for non-members, $8 for members.
We continue to remind you all of new policy:
1) Food refreshments will now be handled as a "pot luck". Please think about bringing something once in awhile to share.
2) Water will no longer be provided, so bring your own water bottle or be prepared to visit the water fountain downstairs from our dance hall.
We hope to see you there!
