Meetup Description: Hello Everyone, This Wednesday, come on out to the Oasis on Lake Travis again for some great music and FREE Dance Lessons.

Gabe Nieto and The Jalepeno Express are returning and their music is SUPER EASY for anyone to dance to. We had a really good crowd last week and hope to see you all again this week if you can make it out for more dancing. It is not necessary to have a partner for the dance lessons.

FREE Dance Lessons will be provided. The dance instructor we've lined up can teach ANYONE to dance.. basically, if you can walk you can learn to dance so come on out and join us! If you're an experienced dancer, you'll love it too...all levels of dancers or those who just like to listen to music are welcomed.
More details below:
Gabe Nieto & the Jalapeno Express are

Back at the Oasis in March on Wednesday March 25th from 7p-10pm
Indoor/Outdoor Area - 3rd Floor Starlight Lounge

FAQ: What if it's cold?
A: The indoor/outdoor area is closed off by clear glass doors during the winter months,so you'll still get a great view of the lake, but you won't be cold. Because it is completely covered as well, rain or shine, the band will be playing and the dancing will go on!

FAQ: Is there food Available?
A: Yes, you can order appetizers or a meal, and of course any drinks or refreshments that you'd like.

FAQ: What type of dancing is offered?
A: The great thing about this band is that you can do almost any type of dancing to their music. They have a great beat that is easy to dance to, so there are people dancing free style, Texas Two Step, Polka, FoxTrox, Salsa, Cha-Cha, and even the Waltz sometimes. If you know some steps feel free to practice them, if you're new to dancing, then come on out anyway and learn with the rest of us.

FAQ: I don't know anything about dancing or I have two left feet, should I stay at home?
A: Absolutely NOT, as mentioned earlier, if you can walk you can learn to dance! The free dance lessons will have you learning some simple steps in no time, and for those who are more advanced, there is ample opportunity to practice your steps as well. No matter what your level or abilities, we'll have you out on the dance floor in no time.

FAQ: Can you tell me more about the band?
A: Here's a link to some of Gabe Nieto's Music
He's a very talented artist who has opened for such music greats as Rick Springfield, America, Patty Loveless, The Dixie Chicks and many more. He is a country artist, with a latin feel, thus the music as I mentioned lends itself well to all types of dancing and I've never heard a country artist with such a wonderful latin component to the music. The mixture of jazz and the mariachi sounds is upbeat during the up-tempo songs, and is lovely to listen to during the band's ballads. According to another reviewer of Gabe's music "Country blended with jazz and mariachi is something you must hear!"

FAQ: But I don't have a partner to dance with..can I still come?
A: Absolutely, come on out and dance anyway! There are singles who come out to dance as well as those whose partners are away on business or unable to attend, so there are lots of opportunities to listen and enjoy the music and/or to dance with someone else who is interested in learning dance or practicing their steps as well. One of the best ways to become a better dancer is to dance with a variety of people, so it doesn't matter if you're coming with a partner or not.

If you're interested in getting some GREAT exercise while dancing then come on out to the Oasis on Wednesday Nights. You'll get your body moving and get ready for those Spring and Summer Activities at the Lake. This is the best way to be more active, all while having a great time. It's rare to have such a wonderful artist be performing in the Lake Travis Area, so let's get out there and have some fun:-)

Anyone is welcome to come and invite whomever you wish and/or spread the word about the dancing and music. Hope to see you there!
