Excellent in every way (except for my convoluted description of the route this morning...) :)

This will be my first time joining the Whippets, and I'm excited! I plan to run about 7-8 miles at a 9:00/mile pace.

Weekend runs are always defined by the run leaders and the distance may vary according to their plans. That said, here are some recommended workouts for the weekend of July 14-15...

FALL MARATHONERS: 11-13M at long run pace

NON-MARATHONERS WITH A SOLID BASE: 9-10M, mostly at long run pace, but accelerate to marathon pace during the middle 4M

IF BUILDING A BASE: 7-8M at easy or long run pace

Long run pace is slightly faster than easy, but is still 45-60 seconds/mile slower than marathon goal pace (or your estimated goal pace if you were training for a marathon).

My note says "weekend of July 14-15" but I meant to type "July 13-14". Oops!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
