This is the first long run in the NYC Marathon Plan. I've mapped out a 9.5 mile route that finishes back in Prospect Park. To make it 12, just do another 2.5 miles in Prospect Park to finish it up: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?....
Make sure to post what pace you want to run - should be at your goal marathon pace plus 45 to 60 seconds.

Weekend runs are always defined by the run leaders and the distance may vary according to their plans. That said, here are some recommended workouts for the weekend of July 6-7...
FALL MARATHONERS: 10-12M at long run pace. Do 12 if you have regularly done long runs of at least 10 miles for the past few weeks; otherwise stop at 10-11.
NON-MARATHONERS WITH A SOLID BASE: 9-10M at long run pace
IF BUILDING A BASE: 6-8M at easy or long run pace
Long run pace is slightly faster than easy, but is still 45-60 seconds/mile slower than marathon goal pace (or your estimated goal pace if you were training for a marathon).
