Pay for Uniforms: Part VI

  • August 17, 2010 · 5:00 PM

We're taking a sixth order of uniforms for those that haven't ordered one yet. The cost is $35. Although the jerseys are cheaper this time around (no screenprinting template costs), we're keeping the same cost and putting the difference into the team's fund which we'll use at a future team event. You can pay online using PayPal. If you'd rather pay me via check or cash, e-mail me and I'll update your RSVP. I'll be placing the order for the jerseys on August 17th, at 4:00pm. Here are the links to the shirts on the Nike site. You can check out the color and sizing on these pages: Men's model #243433: http://store.nike.com... Women's model #243437: http://store.nike.com... Please RSVP with your size preference (ie. "Men's Small"). If ordering more than one, RSVP with a guest.

Hey Ellen, Charles is right. I've asked people to pick up the jersey at my office at 632 Broadway 10th Floor or let me know when you're at the next training run or race I've RSVP'd to. Please e-mail me to arrange it.

rich gave the option for pick up or that he would mail, assuming you had paid by the cut off. if you didn't nad he has your size, i think you can just go to his work or pay him a bit extra to have it shipped to you.

I'll be interested in a jersey for your next order. Assuming this is already done? Otherwise if there are leftovers. I usually order Large, but I did see a note about Brooks singlets being big?

Hi Rich, I emailed you but jumped the gun a bit. Lets go with option 1 but can you change the size to a Mens medium instead? Thanks again.

In my experience Brooks singlets tend to run large, I'm usually L but my Brooks Maniac jersey is M and fits nicely. Can't wait to get mine! It'll be a conversation starter here in GA.

Hey guys. Just a clarification. You have three options: 1) If you don't e-mail me, I'll automatically transfer your order to a Brooks jersey and you'll get the difference in cost when you receive your jersey, 2) E-mail me to tell me you really want a Nike jersey, 3) E-mail me to tell me you just want a refund. I think most of you are #1, but if you're #2 or #3, e-mail me at [masked]. Sorry if there was any confusion!

Actually, I was wrong (Rich is in transit from Chicago so I'm posting for him and he handles the PayPal stuff). Just cancel if you don't want a uniform at all. If you do want the new uniform (probably the Brooks below), keep your RSVP yes for now and email Rich to tell him so he can transfer your yes to the new meetup when we post it. Sorry for the confusion.

    Got it. Thanks!

I don't think you have to do anything - as long as Rich knows you want to cancel it, he will do it and PayPal will refund you. Then when we put up the new meetup, you can just RSVP on there and pay through PayPal again. Sort of a pain, but I think that's the only way to do it.

Oh, so I should cancel and then place a new order if I want a jersey? Or can you just keep my money for the new jersey?

    October 11, 2010

  • Matthew

No problem! So would you like to cancel your Nike order?

Sounds good! Thanks for organizing, Matt & Rich!

Hey Sonia - yeah, the male and female singlets are on backorder seemingly indefinitely. The new uniforms will probably be these (no white part, but $10 to $15 less expensive and maybe a lighter/stretchier material): http://www.brooksrunning.com/pr... and http://www.brooksrunning.com/pr...

Matt, does the "not working out" apply to the female orders too?

    October 11, 2010

  • Matthew

Oh, and if you do want to keep your Nike order in the hopes that it may come off backorder at some point, also email Rich. Again, there's no guarantee that it will come in at any time in the near future.

    October 11, 2010

  • Matthew

Hey all, it appears that the Nike uniforms are not going to work out. They have been on backorder for months and it appears that they will remain so until possibly January. We are going to switch to a new uniform (same color/design - different brand) in the next day or so and post that meetup. If you want to cancel your Nike order, please email Rich at [masked] and he will refund you if you have already paid. I'll send an email with the new uniform info ASAP.

Mediums and larges are on back order with no date estimate yet. Matt and I are looking into getting another brand's jersey with similar colors so we won't keep running into this issue. Sorry guys!

Hey Rodnel, I think you already ordered one in the last batch. Did you want an extra one?

Can I have a Large por Favor! I'm usually a medium but the jersey looks kind of small...so I'll go with large

I have a men's small that has not been used since I found that it is too small for me. If anyone would like to purchase it from me, let me know.

Just a reminder to sign up for uniforms if you would like one!
