GWB and Pallisades Run

Francesca and Sky are heading to the Palisades for a hilly bonus long run on Sunday morning. Anyone else want to join?

It's an out and back from the GW bus terminal, across the bridge, and along the paved Henry Hudson Drive. We'll aim for 20 but the route can be shortened at any point or lengthened by going all the way up to the State Line lookout.

Meeting place would be at the western entrance to the GW Bus station at 9AM. We could also pick up any runners on the NJ side of the bridge at around 9:15, or in the parking lot at mile 3 around 9:30.

Course was much hillier than I expected but thanks to following flying warrior Francesca for most part, I ended up with the same avg. pace as for my "normal" long run in less hilly terrain. Was ready to walk after 17 and a half or so miles and enjoyed doing so until Kaitlyn came by on GWB and easily convinced me that running the last mile would be even better. Thanks all for a great workout (harlem hill will feel like a piece of cake next time) and organizing a run outside the usual park.

Tsp and I are inside the terminal - entrance is on the west side of Broadway between 178 and 179. I think this is where Francesca described.

Just so we are all in the same spot- once you get off the train, look for the signs for the fort Washington bus terminal. Keep following those and we'll meet by the doors at the exit. If you step out those doors you should see signs for the pedestrian path for the GW across the street on your left. Don't worry if you can't see the signs- they're small

We might have a couple of different groups/ pairs/ solos, but we'll warm up together over the bridge and onto the main path. It's a nice wide road with no cars, just cyclists, runners and walkers.

I'll probably be slower than the rest of the group...I'm fine with being on my own once we get on Henry Hudson Drive, though. Would just want to stick with the group at the beginning because I've never run up there before.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
