A chill run that sounds exactly like how Amy and I described except for it is in the evening! Great for newbies, runners looking for a recovery run, runners on the mend in re-hab, or even those looking to just recover from a wild weekend of too much food and libation with some solid miles. We will meet at 6:30 at Astor Place Cube (spinning sculpture thing) then do a leisurely jog over to the West Side Highway. We will stay on the sidewalks and obey traffic since dodging cars and shoving commuters/tourists is not fun (this is not a race). Once we hit the West Side Highway we will run down for approximately 2 miles towards Battery Park then turn around and run back to the Cube for a quick post-run stretch. Total run to be about 4 miles. For the first few runs we will skip drills. Hopefully as the group grows we can incorporate some easy form drills like strides and high knees into the mix at Battery Park but let's just keep it simple for now. Amy and I are open to suggestions. There is no bag check so hopefully people can change at work and leave their stuff at one of the many gyms in the area (assuming membership of course). Depending on how many people RSVP I may be able to check your stuff at my gym if you bring a lock. Really hope to see you there. Should be a lot of fun especially since there's not a hill in sight and NO RUNNER IS LEFT BEHIND!
