Hood to Hudson One-Day Relay Race
What is it? A 100-mile relay starting in Brooklyn and going up the Hudson River.
Who is doing it? Teams of size 6-12. Each team member runs 2-3 legs of around 5 miles per leg.
Why? Because relays are a blast. And unlike bigger races such as Ragnar or Reach The Beach, this race can be completed in a single day.
Who's organizing this? Nobody is officially in charge. It's an unsanctioned race run at the risk of the competitors. But the Whippets did it last year (Hood to Hamptons) and had a fabulous time.
How much is it? Including van rental, Saturday night hotel stay, and miscellaneous expenses, last year the cost was $85 per runner. It may be higher this year to account for a better hotel, but assume that your cost is under $100.
How do I join? RSVP ASAP if you are interested. We will form official teams by April 15 based on responses. It will be tons of fun!
