NYC Half Volunteering

We're going to be volunteering at a fluid station again this year for the NYC Half. Exact location is to be announced.

If we get 30 volunteers, our team will receive 5 guaranteed spots for the 2013 marathon. We will announce the eligibility requirements and selection process soon, but if you would like to volunteer at the NYC Half, please RSVP!

Were we supposed to get a volunteering credit for NYRR for this? Just checking to see if its showing up for anyone?

  I talked to NYRR about this. It's not possible for it to show up on the site. We are supposed to get a direct invitation to register when it opens up for registration (such email won't be to join the lottery, but for entry to the race). If we don't get that email, we are supposed to call them.

  Matt - You are right, sorry. My response was about the fact that we were supposed to get guaranteed entry into next year's half if we got a certain number of volunteers. Let me know if that is still your understanding.

Hey all, NYRR has told us the time will be from 5 am to 9 am. Since our station is earlier in the course, we have to be there earlier, but also get to leave a bit earlier. Hope that helps.
