Hi my name is Raina - I am a full time Personal Trainer looking to meet new people and push myself harder through group runs. I'm still a fairly new runner (only 2 years in the sport), so I want to improve both my pace and distance.
In my fastest 5K to date I broke the 9 minute barrier (finishing in 27:30), but typically my pace is between 9:50-10:30 especially on longer races. My longest distance is the Half Marathon, with my most recent finishing pace being 10:39.
Usually a minimum of 3 miles on my regular training days. For long runs days I've been hitting around 6-8 miles but I'm working on increasing with the hopes of signing up for the Philadelphia Marathon this fall.
I split my training between Central Park (near my work) and Ocean Parkway/Prospect Park (near where I live). I like to vary tho, so I will travel to places like Shore Road, Coney Island boardwalk and even the East River track to mix things up. As a Personal Trainer my schedule is very unpredictable, so I will run anytime/anywhere as long as it works around my client sessions.
