Welcome to Davis Moms & Friends!
You name your situation, and we have a mom who fits it too. Some of us work, stay at home, go to school or work from home. Some of us are pregnant, have our first newborn, our third newborn, have toddlers, preschoolers or kids in early elementary school.
What we all have in common is that we hopelessly love our children, and are looking to build a community of families to support each other through the crazy wonderful adventure that is parenthood.
We have a wide range of events to go with our wide range of members. We host weekly (sometimes bi-weekly Play-Dates), Park Playdates, Music Class, Spanish Class, Coffee Dates, Mom's Night Out, Stroller Walks, Family Dinner Nights, Recipe Swaps, and Holiday Parties.
Our group rules are as follows:

1. Event Attendance
a. RSVP Number is the number of adults who will attend the event. Do not RSVP for children.
b. If you are unable to attend an event for which you RSVP’d YES, you need to change your RSVP to NO as soon as possible.
c. If the event involves a guest speaker or is an event where the host serves food, you must change your RSVP to NO at least 24 hours in advance. Exceptions will be made in the case of illness. If you fail to change your RSVP to NO and do not attend the event, a NO-SHOW will be recorded. At the time of your third NO-SHOW you will be removed from the group.
2. Hosting Events
a. Any member may post a group event to the site. Each member has the right set a limit for the number of attendees allowed and to set an age range limit, if desired.
b. Members are not allowed to charge for events they host.
Members may host charged events when the proceeds paid by the members who attend go to an outside third-party, if approved by the group organizers. An example of an approved charged event is Music Class.
c. Members may not post any events with the purpose of selling products. Examples: Tupperware, essential oil parties etc.
3. Maintaining Active Membership
a. Each member must pay $15 per year dues. These dues go to pay for the Meetup website fee of $90 per year, and to pay for food/ supplies for larger family events.
b. Members must attend 1 event within 60 days of first joining the group and attend 2 events each year to remain in the group.
d. Each member must host /organize 1 event each year. The event does not need to be at the member’s home, it may be at a public place. The event can be as simple as meeting at a park to play.
