Yes, I attempted to teach Tournay off a rule summary I'd written months before. In this card game we are trying to manage a province in the city of Tournay, trying to coordinate buildings and citizens with a grid of cards. I feel we were mostly comfortable with the basic gameplay after just a few rounds; however, the cards contained a lot of symbols that none of us knew, which really made things go slow while we looked these up literally every turn. This is a game for which knowing these symbols is imperative for smooth play, and things did pick up later as we learned them, and it's worthy of another try. For Renee, who had to leave before we finished with scoring, Ben pulled out a win with 34, with Stephanie a bit behind at 29, and me and Renee tying at 24. I think Ben's win was probably from a lot of "white multipliers" on one of his scoring province cards.

Two games actually. First (my newest favorite) "7 Wonders", which Kimberly won by a small (but not too small) margin. Roggi headed out, and then rest of us all played "Ticket to Ride: The Card Game" for the first time, and again Kimberly "out-railed" us all. The other players consisted of Inge (with a hard G), Ward. We all had fun with both games. (and photos were uploaded.

Kay attempted to teach us Tournay, a somewhat unusual game published by Z-Man. We all agreed that it would go far better the next time, when some of us have a clue about at least some of the rules. Rammy led a group of less seasoned players in a game I can't remember.

I put no as I'm going to the 5pm showing of Iron Man 3 in Huber but I may come after. It'll be a last minute decision.

I was actually asking Renee if she had ideas yet. But at this point I don't have time to be reading any rules. (Except a review of Tournay if that's still up for consideration.) Of course... there's always that Ascension. :-)

And Kimberly - if you make it you'll have to tell me about this band. I've done quite a bit of band playing in my time.

I haven't made a meet-up yet. Tuesdays are usually my band practice, but it looks like it might get rescheduled this week. If so, I can make it to play some games.
