Day Trading Office

I am a former broker and have been trading full time for 4 years now. I am interested in finding other traders to share an office with. Is there anybody out there that wants to get out of the house? Lets get together and talk about it!

The powerpoint I am going to show is one I built a couple of years ago. It is a good primer on options for someone unfamiliar with using them and I also discuss a "non-traditional" spread I developed which points out some of the unique things that options can do for longer term investors. It should inspire lots of discussion...thanks Valrie for organzing a room at UofH and thanks to those who are going to help setup/tear down.

I am one of the inexperienced ones , however my schedule is quite flexible and I am volunteering to help organize in any capacity that you all need to make this happen successfully.

Thanks Valrie for offering to organize. We all have different levels of skills and different interests and it takes considerable time to develop experise as a trader. I can honestly say that I have walked away from every presentation or online seminar I have seen over the last 4 years with one more tool in my arsenal that makes me more successful today. My hope for our new group is that the members with more experience help those with less experience with all the critical skills that are required to earn a decent income....including brokerage choice, computer/software choice and setup, indicators that earn their keep, information overload, trading characteristics of different asset classes (forex, futures, stocks, etc, taxation, useful training sources (free and otherwise), trading rules, psychology of trading...presentations can be powerpoints or just focused/guided discussions on a specific topic...some members new to trading can help others with their specialized skills.

we probably need to spend time figuring out what members want to learn about. The full time traders have a unique perspective from being in the trenches each day expanding their "education" about the market. I trade on Tradestation and do things a certain way, but these groups have taught me that there dozens of ways to make money in intraday scalping and swing trading, and dozens of good technologies to help that happen. I look forward to meeting new folks with an interest in the markets. FYI...right now I trade only index futures particularly the S and P 500 (ES) and sometimes Silver and Crude. In the recent past I have traded stocks, and options as well. I still use options with my long term investing.

I am fairly new to trading with some formal training and basically through two years of trading breaking even on our own investments. Better then being in the red. I am interested in discussing Option trading on a swing basis. See you all tomorrow.
